My name is Russ Bost, I’m 49 & live at Benfleet in Essex. I’ve been working on this project for over 3 years, though it’s gestation period has been somewhat longer! I thought about building a Lotus 7 kitcar, but wanted something a bit more unusual. When I first started talking about doing something like this it was going to be based on the bits from an XR3i & it was to be in the colours of Nigel Mansells’ Canon Williams — some considerable time before he was World Champion !!
I trained as an engineer, worked briefly for Fords, & then established my own garage business which I successfully ran for some 20 odd years & sold out to my partner a while ago. Have had some successes in club motor sport &, more recently a couple of hire Prokart championships.
Took a look at the Kitcar business & couldn’t believe the blinkered mentality of so many companies producing similar Lotus 7 kitcars & Cobra clones. Decided it was time I produced something completely different (you have to agree it’s that!!). The result you see here.
Your choice, a Lotus 7 kitcar, some other kitcar, or a Furore - Sorry, what choice? You don't really want a Lotus 7 kitcar do you?
